And sorry, Ryse and Dead Rising 3 aren't doing shit next-gen or even generally progressive. They don't even need to be innovative, just present something cool. If Ryse was (and very well could have been) a 360 title, without the hoopla of it being a next-gen launch title, it would have went under everybody's radar in this forum. I guarantee this. I see hype for that game and wonder; 'when did this kind of shit spark any interest in the past?' It forces me to conclude it's only because it's a next gen title and not due to its merits as a game.
And the Dead Rising series never interested me in particular, but DR3 seems especially paint-by-numbers for a next-gen launch title. Again, where was this level of hype for DR2 and its expansions? Add to that the altered presentation going for the old 'gritty' filter and shit. Not a fan of that movement.
