I've said it ad nauseum already this offseason but the Mets really are fucked with these prices for free agents. They were hoping to get Bronson Arroyo for 2 years tops but there's really no reason for him to not want 3 guaranteed years given that he's been better and more reliable than Hughes.

Already reading the Mets are shifting their attention to 3rd tier free agents who will sign for 1 year. Ugh.
