Corollary: maybe babyface wins MITB, and they have a valet/girlfriend. If that woman needed time off TV for injury, or filming, or what have you, they could run an angle were "someone" kid naps her. The MITB winner is distraught and finally offers to his contract up in exchange for her return (when she is ready to return to TV). He leaves the contract and she is returned otherwise unharmed. Now we have a set up for whoever cashes in the contract to get instant psycho-heel heat, plus there is the backdoor option for the valet to have been in on the plot from the beginning.
The only problem with this is, I don't know that something like kidnapping would go over well on modern WWE programming...and the angle is bordering on Russo levels of needless convolutedness. But that was the best case scenario I could think of for someone to sell their contract without totally losing their heat, and keeping the new holder of the contract a secret.
