Brock...is a totally different story. Brock was in a high profile feud and was going to move on to wrestle the Undertaker. Big deal if Taker was going to beat him, Taker jobbed in two high profile feuds to Brock (cleanly in the Hell in a Cell). Brock had everything in the wrestling world handed to him, while Austin had to earn it for over 8 years before he won the title. Brock turned his back against wrestling, and has been bad mouthing it ever since.

Brock finished his feud (unlike Austin who just walked out, twice with out telling a soul, at least Brock gave notice), and thought it was bad booking for him to be made Taker's bitch. Which it would have been. Brock's character couldn't have survived being maimed by Taker, and there was no logical reason to have Taker go over him. Who cares if it was all handed to Brock, wasn't his call, he just accepted it. Not his fault.
