At one point, Piper pitched the idea of himself and a heel CM Punk versus John Cena and Hulk Hogan for the show playing off the tag team main event of the first WrestleMania but that's not the direction WWE is going towards.

One pitch in WWE was to reach out to Mister T, which they have at least attempted to do, and reunite the competitors from the main event of the first WrestleMania and induct the entire match into the WWE Hall of Fame which would be a first for the company. That would, if it happens, make two-time WWE Hall-of-Famers out of Hogan, Piper, and Paul Orndorff. They could also include Jimmy Snuka and Bob Orton as well since they were at ringside for that bout.
