WWE's biggest mistake was putting Bryan in the title picture to begin with. They could have done just fine having him put on great matches and involving him in good storylines and the Bryan marks would have been completely satisfied. Then for some reason they decided it would be a good idea to let people think he was a legit contender who could compete with a guy like Cena to be one of the "faces of the company" and now that's what people expect.
