Like every popular or rising star, he's never going to have 100% support.

Him keeping or loosing the fans really depends on his booking. If the WWE tries to make him into nothing more than another Cena type character, it won't be long before they turn on him (ex. Sheamus). Same for him as an extra wimpy champion (ex. Rey).
