He's a fucking heel. He's meant to be an awesome adversary for the face who does represent the company. Which he would be.

Being a great, creepy bad guy character who doesn't make you embarrassed to be a wrestling fan when he talks does actually give him some crossover appeal though. In that someone who generally finds wrestling to be a joke can see him as a good TV character.
