I actually thought it would be kind of cool if one year the Money in the Bank Winner, for reasons that would need to be explained, gave away or sold the Money in the Bank title shot. Someone like Bad News Barrett, for example, could imply that he's been given enough money to retire on for it, and he knows he'll earn a title shot through other means. Barrett could also say that quite a few men have cashed in to become the World Heavyweight Champion, but he'll forever be the man who turned that shot down and be immortalized because of it.

Bray Wyatt is another guy who could surely convince people that there are reasons he has given away the Money in the Bank briefcase. "I don't fight for titles! I fight to inspire you!"

Anyway, one night the champion is laid out and then AJ Lee's music hits. She comes skipping out...with the Money in the Bank briefcase. It becomes apparent that AJ Lee has come into possession of the case -- either by buying it off Wade Barrett or because of some twisted relationship with Bray Wyatt. Lee then cashes in the briefcase and skips around before she lays on top of the downed opponent and becomes the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. If the champion was Daniel Bryan at this point, it would play right into their long history with each other -- Bryan essentially fucking up AJ. Can you imagine the promo by AJ Lee? "Daniel, you can blame me for this 18 second title loss..."

The only thing is that I don't know where you go once AJ Lee is champion. Would she be forced to compete against male competitors? Would she even be sanctioned as the champion? I could see Stephanie McMahon making the decision that women competing against men is not what is #BestforBusiness, so AJ Lee will be stripped of the title, although she is going to recognise the official title win. Perhaps she gets to defend the title a few times against some of the women in WWE? AJ Lee vs. Brie Bella for the WWE World Heavyweight Title? That would be surreal. But it allows AJ to get some title defenses in before Stephanie McMahon makes the decision that Lee is no longer the champion.
