3PW did this with Slyck Wagner Brown and April Hunter in summer 2003. The fans got sick of their six-month reign, so the booker Blue Meanie put the belts on the New Pitbulls by autumn of that year.

Instead of jobbing established tag teams to them directly, Meanie had Brown & Hunter win a tag team battle royal - but it was mostly Brown with a wormy Hunter acting like a heel coward when it was her turn to bump. Matt Striker got in some good licks when teaming with Robbie E, though (as Ultimate Stryker and Rob Eckos). They then defended against jobbers before Anthony Durante and Mike Kruel beat them.
