Anyhow...It felt very comic book-y, without being a total departure from the first movie. I think I liked the pace of this movie a lot more than the first one. It felt more like Spider-Man.
they did a lot better making the Toby scenes mesh with the CGI scenes. I mean, it wasn't perfect, but who cares? I mostly found it to be distracting when the quality of the first one shifted from Lord of the Rings to Mighty Morphin power Rangers.
The fight scenes were amazing. It was over the top without feeling totally cartoony.
I'm just annoyed at how often Spider-Man got unmasked and some other small things. I don't like the way they seem to be following Batman in terms of the villains meeting their ends. I do like how they kept it flowing. I liked the set up for SM3, with a feeling of continuity, etc. Good movie. Greatest? I don't know. Overhyped? Definitely. But what isn't these days?
