Just reported on Sportsnet East Officials in Winnipeg have contacted Mario Lemieux & asked that if finacial/new arena,ect,ect. could not be resolved within the near future,that the city of Winnipeg would be interested in acquiring the struggling franchise to play in a new arena that is currently under construction, Pittsburgh officials have refused to comment!
Could be just a rumour but interesting just the same.
