That was a "mark out" scene for me, to be honest.

Brawls SSE was kind of ruined for me when I replayed it and realised it was basically "Kirby and friends save the day". Every major heroic action is done by a character from the Kirby series. The only exception being Sonic and that was to crowbar him into the story at the last possible second of development.
Sakurai was definitely playing favourites.
