I liked Curt Hawkins. I didn't think he was ever going to be more than a tag team specialist, but still thought he was decent enough to find regular work on Superstars or Main Event. I like his Gatecrashers team with Vance Archer but then they just broke them up for no reason once WWE went into one of their patented "eh, fuck tag team wrestling" moods. His team with Reks was entertaining as well, just bad luck that Reks wanted to move on.
They also had him team with Ryder once when Hawkins got drafted to Raw in 2011, but it was abandoned after a week. Ryder then enjoyed his brief singles push but has floundered since. As soon as Reks was granted his release I thought they should have just but Ryder and Hawkins back together permanently as a comedy team. Neither man had been doing anything, they've got chemistry, they have a history of teaming before, they're childhood friends in real life, etc. Ah well. At least Hawkins has had no trouble finding work and is running a training school.
