That being said, he has had plenty of opportunities to stand out, but at the same time, it feels like the trigger has never really been pulled when it comes to him. For example, his World Title reign was pretty badly booked. Plus it came off the tail-end of a feud with Santino Marella, which Swagger was losing. His promo work has never really come along, but he got Zeb Colter and got another push which he stuffed up (although it still played out about as well as I think it would have been planned to). But he's always been so fucking fluid in the ring and great at making others look good. He's just never been the one shining brightest. If something clicks with Swagger as a face, then I say go for it. The guy has proven dependable as far as quality performances go for years.
