According to a new report published over at SEScoops.com, original Intercontinental Title battle royal match plans at Battleground called for Dolph Ziggler to win the bout. Creative plans were reportedly changed last Tuesday at a WWE producer’s meeting, during which the decision was made for The Miz to go over in the match, and eliminate Dolph Ziggler for the IC Title win. It’s being said WWE decided to have Miz win the bout since he will be doing a ton of media appearances in the near future to promote the upcoming WWE Studios film “The Marine 4.” It appears, however, as if Dolph Ziggler is not completely out of the IC Title picture, as future creative plans call for The Miz to feud with Sheamus, before moving on to a feud with Ziggler.

There has been speculation that the upcoming Sheamus vs Miz feud might be to unify the United States and IC Titles, and personally I think it would be great to see both Ziggler and Sheamus chasing Miz for the unified mid-card Championship until the “sands of time” finally fall. Sheamus, Ziggler and Miz all prominently featured in the IC Title picture would continue the hot streak the title seems to be enjoying as of late.

Late last week, PWInsider.com reported WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat had been released from WWE due to budget cuts, as he recently accepted several non-WWE related appearances. In the past 48 hours, however, it appears as if WWE might have changed its mind and re-hired Steamboat, as he has since reached out to the non-WWE promoters and told them that he would no longer be able to appear for them unless they reached out to WWE for approval.

There are no new episodes of WrestleMania Rewind and WWE Countdown on the WWE Network this Tuesday night. One week after WWE loaded up the Network for the free preview week, it appears they're airing nothing but replays this week. There's still a chance they will premiere a new Legends of Wrestling episode on Friday night and a new Beyond The Ring on Saturday night but the schedule hasn't been updated that far.

John Cena broke his personal record of his longest television and PPV win streak at WWE BattleGround last night with 14 straight wins, per ProFightDB.com. His previous personal record of 13 straight TV and PPV wins was in early 2007.
