I understand the business of having Stephanie McMahon work a match at SummerSlam, and people seem fucking into it. More so than AJ Lee vs. Paige, which I am really hoping gets some good time and such. But I doubt Steph will be working this match if there isn't a plan on how it will be presented. I'm also suspecting the Nikki Bella heel turn to help Stephanie win.
Cesaro impressed the shit out of me this week. I'm annoyed that his whole relationship with Heyman went nowhere, but this sort of paid it some due. If I were booking, I'd have Cesaro issue an open challenge for SummerSlam that is answered by Sami Zayn, but I doubt that will happen. This card is looking like it is going to be a stacked one.
Not sure what is happening in the tag team division. It seems like RybAxel, The X-Men/Woodsmen and The Bizarre Ones are all alluding to wanting Tag Team Title shots. But I just feel like The Usos should be facing The Wyatt Family in a killer send-off match for their rivalry. How about a TLC Match, since SummerSlam hosted the first one of those matches? They could bill it as the "ultimate test for tag teams in the WWE." Boom. Let the other teams tear up the pre-show.
I was hoping that AJ Lee vs. Paige would take a less hokey approach. I really enjoyed Paige's heel turn last week, and it is so simple: Paige lost the Divas Title and has to deal with being second-fiddle to AJ within the Divas Division. That was all addressed, but I just feel like Paige skipping and the AJ's crazy stuff is missing the true essence of what these girls should be fighting about.
I really want to see Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt in an I Quit Match, but that might just be me. I hope we see a different side of Jericho as this feud progresses. I want to see Wyatt bring out the darker side of his persona. I'd like Jericho and Wyatt's promos to explain why I need to watch another match between the two when I saw Jericho beat Wyatt at Battleground.
Swagger and Rusev are likely continuing their feud. Prior to RAW, I was sort of hoping we'd move towards Sheamus vs. Rusev for the US Title and Swagger vs. Del Rio or something. The second one is a bit random, but Del Rio is a foreign heel that Swagger could have a great match with and beat. Rusev would win the US Title from Sheamus and then feud with Swagger in time for Night of Champions. Sheamus wasn't on RAW, so it'll be interesting to see how he fits into things when he gets back.
