There's been enough backlash that I think the next-gen systems will eventually release a patch so that MP3s can be ripped to the system hard drive again. I can't speak to the XBOne but for the PS4 the functionality is still there. There are still USB ports even though the PS4 does not recognize them. Hopefully they'll eventually patch it up since they've gotten plenty of complaints.

Would suck if they didn't, though. Will feel like going back to the PS2 days where all of my CAWs had generic themes.
