Got it yesterday. First impressions.
WTF with Hugo? I went through Arcade with him and he is so powerful it feels like the opponents health just melts away. Power, I love it! No doubt they'll reduce his power in a patch when enough people get upset about it. Even though he's insanely slow, cannot do anything unless he's right in your face and he's a giant target so I feel it evens it out.
Poisons U2, Poison Kiss, is pretty powerful but a pain to hit. I thought it would activate if you missed and the opponent walked into or under the heart that just floats there for a sec. Could take some practice if I choose that one.
I only played through Arcade with Poison and Hugo, so far. I don't know if it was intentional but both Arcade stories made me laugh. Hugo is a potato. Who tells their baby son to grown big like a potato? Baby Hugo is cute. Adult Hugo is awesome. Everybody wins.
I noticed the potato had markings on it like Hugos shirt. Is he supposed to be dressing like a pink potato? I guarantee that someone will cosplay as Hugo and carry the biggest potato they can find the entire time.
As for Poisons intro, I just found the "Why don't you dance!?" guy asking her to dance when she got in the ring funny. Partly the way he says it. Partly because, in my experience, no matter how serious you are being, there will be an idiot that would rather see you "dance" or something and they'll ask endlessly.
Her ending was great. The music in it was cool and I hope full versions of those remixes exist, somewhere. Kinda want to cosplay as rock/metal Poison

Also, they mentioned Sodom. SFIV mentioned/showed Adon in Sagats intro, He was in SSFIV. Yun and Yang were mentioned/shown in Chun-Lis story and they were added. Incoming Sodom DLC announcement!
I'm a little disappointed the old characters have the same intro's not animated, new characters don't have rival cutscenes and that the achievements just carry over from SFIV.
I see Capcoms definition of hardest is still having the AI just spam one move. Did they do something to Seth? He actually fights now instead of just working to a pattern.
