1) The original purpose for banner ads on the Xbox 360 user interface was to simply help promote XBLA games from getting lost in the shuffle according to the person responsible for the idea. He recently apologized for how his idea evolved into most of the interface being cluttered in ads.

2) EA announces both Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning are currently available to play for free on Origin for a limited time as part of Origin's Game Time program.

3) The upcoming Share Play feature for the PS4 was revealed to only allow up to 1 hour of online play per session. This feature allows people with a copy of a game to let others without one the ability to play together online.
