I am a huge Yankee fan, and no Jeter is not overrated. If I were to rank the top 3 shortstops it have to be A-rod, Jeter then Nomar...
I like Nomar dun get me wrong but he is constantly getting hurt, and as said before, to pouty. He hasn't played clutch in the playoffs, and well I dun blame him now for bein upset, he was said to be traded to make Room for Arod, and now he wasn't, I'd feel like I wasn't wanted to.
The play Jeter made, I dunno if many others could make that play, the fact he sacrificed his body as he's done time and time before, shows to me he is one of the best players in the league. His numbers are down, and yes more so this year, but he did have a hell of a slump. If you dun remember pretty much every yankee has been booed in his own stadium, they're fans are they're harshest critics...but if you remember towards the end of his slump they cheered, they pushed him on, they tried to support him, and help him in all the ways they could, and in my honest opinion, can't get more loyal fans than that.
Jeter isn't overrated, I'd rather have him on my team than anyone else...he knows how to lead a team, he'd make a hell of a coach after his career ended.
