If you don't like the game, you can sell it at gamestop/to a friend/a homeless person/etc.
You can let your friend try the game out if you want to.
If you're a collector, it's yours.
You can help stimulate the local economy if you get it at a local game store, chain store, big box store. You can also use various amazon links to support various podcasts (TLP).
eShop Pros
No risk of losing the game.
Instant access for people who get it right at launch.
eShop purchases are not always taxed.
Just re-word a few things here and there for the cons. No point in typing this up again and say "Physical copies are normally taxed" or "eShop copies can't be sold even if the game is terrible albeit you were getting it from a franchise you grew up on and loved.
