When you do that it makes the game feel like too much of a chore. That's largely been my issue with many MMO players. They complain about there being nothing to do, no carrot on a stick to keep them going. Why isn't simply playing the game and enjoying it enough? I play a game because it is fun and challenging. Yes the objectives and unlockables etc are part of that, but actually playing the game and experiencing it in the moment is tremendous fun. I don't know. Can't verbalize what I mean but I hate that about most gamers
