Yes. My thought on Zack Ryder can be summed up thusly:

After a specific King of the Ring, a certain bald wrestler cuts a certain bible related promo, and gives birth to a phrase that transcends his career, and even wrestling itself, into a pop culture phenomenon. .. and WWE goes and decides to not only not to market that in any way, but they fail to put that guy on TV anymore, save matches on Shotgun Saturday night or the occasional job on RAW.

Am I saying Zack would've been the next Austin: most likely not... BUT the point is, we'll never know. Nobody knew Austin was going to become as big as he was even then. But Zack is a case study on what would have happened to Steve if they just pissed that winning lottery ticket away to do something else.
