Oh, and I still maintain that the whole Del Rio/Swagger feud should have been over the US Title. It didn't really make sense for Swagger to come back and be a main eventer out the gate. Del Rio's World Title win was out of the blue too. As was Big Show's from Sheamus, for that matter. Cesaro was doing this "no American can beat me" thing, and Del Rio could have come out and said "No American might be able to, but I can." Give him a clean win over Cesaro, who was admittedly floundering, and Swagger could have come back to "save" the US Title. Could have been a really hot mid-card feud instead of a really cold "main event" one.

The World Title program that year should have been Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho. Big Show was the World Champion, and he could have bumped into Ryback in the back. Big Show asks him "Who the hell are do you think you are?", then he goes in for a rematch against Sheamus. Show wins the match, but afterwards, Ryback hits the ring and beats the crap out of Big Show. No Shell-Shocked -- you save that for Mania. Ryback yells "The Ryback...and don't you forget it!" as he's leaving. Then Dolph Ziggler's music hits, he runs down, cashes in on Big Show, probably gets a monster pop, and then Chris Jericho returns in the following weeks, and instead of working Fandango, targets Ziggler reminding everyone that he planned to make Dolph Ziggler's life a constant hell. It wouldn't even matter who would have won that match. Jericho would probably have no problem putting a Heel Ziggler over, even cleanly, but Jericho winning the World Title in his first face WrestleMania moment of the sort wouldn't have been horrible either. Ziggler could have won it back at Extreme Rules.

In addition to that, you have CM Punk get his wish of being included in the John Cena vs. The Rock match, and you have The Undertaker wrestle someone else. Sheamus would have been a good pick, since he could feel like he had something left to prove after failing to win back the World Heavyweight Title. The Shield could have slipped into a match against Randy Orton, Mark Henry and someone else. This may not be a popular decision, but The Miz was a face at the time. The Shield could have ended things with a Triple Powerbomb on Henry, which would have been impressive. Kofi Kingston could have earned another IC Title shot against Wade Barrett, and Barrett could have cockily said he could beat Kofi in any match imaginable. Kofi could have then chosen a Ladder Match, to tip the scales in his favor. I know the company wasn't high on him, but given that he was in NXT at the time, and that Cesaro would be looking to spring back from his US Title loss, a brief run for "The Kings of Wrestling" on the main roster against Team Hell No could have made for a great WrestleMania opener. If they decide they don't like Kassius Ohno on the main roster, Cesaro can turn on him when they fail to win the titles and you never see him again.

So you end up with the following booked for WrestleMania NYNJ:

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship
The Rock (c) vs. John Cena vs. CM Punk

The Undertaker vs. Sheamus

World Heavyweight Championship
Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Chris Jericho

Triple H's career on the line
Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H

Big Show vs. The Ryback

United States Championship
Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Jack Swagger

Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Shield vs. Randy Orton, The Miz & Mark Henry

Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship
Wade Barrett (c) vs. Kofi Kingston

WWE Tag Team Championship
Team Hell No (c) vs. Cesaro & Kassius Ohno

* Team Hell No could have beaten Cesaro & Ohno when Bryan makes Cesaro submit to The No! Lock.

* Kofi Kingston could have had a nice moment winning the IC Title in his preferred match, never pinning Barrett.

* The Shield, as mentioned, could have beaten Orton & Mizark when they hit the Triple Powerbomb on Henry.

* Swagger could have beaten Del Rio to get his push off strong.

* Ryback would borderline squash Show.

* Triple H would still beat Brock.

* Let's say that Jericho beats Ziggler and wins his first World Title at Mania as a babyface.

* Undertaker beats Sheamus with two Tombstones and looks really impressed.

* CM Punk wins the WWE Title by pinning John Cena, because CM Punk.
