Thinking about it, I'm not too sure the Mets will be able to move Niese, Gee, or Colon as they planned. I assumed they'd be able to at worst swap one of them for a righty outfield bat for the bench or something. They may still be able to get a shortstop like Brad Miller from Seattle early next year once the market shakes out. But really I'm a mark for Murphy so I'm just as happy keeping him at 2B and letting Wilmer Flores have a full year at SS. I've seen that Flores is projected to have as good of a year as Xander Bogaerts if not better...so why stretch to make a trade when you don't have to?

I felt like it'd be good for them to get rid of one Niese/Gee/Colon just because I don't view either of those guys as good bullpen candidates. But I guess if Gee opens the year as the longman and gets a spot start once or twice a month in place of Harvey I'd be on board with that. They really want to limit Harvey to 200 innings if possible, so if they are making a playoff push it'd be better to conserve innings earlier in the year rather than later lest we wind up with some Strasburg-esque fiasco.
