I like the idea of the champion being such a special attraction that even him appearing on Raw is a huge deal. It's one of those old school methods that will always work in theory. In practice right now, it's not doing it for me. Just forgetting he exists most of the time and not even mentioning the guy for entire episodes of Raw seems bizarre and kinda makes the title feel less important in a weird way. Not to mention this is the perfect time for the IC title to become a HUGE deal as the biggest title you can see for free and they haven't done so. It makes the shows come off as kinda directionless.
