The simple assault charges filed against WWE Superstar Heath Slater (aka Heath Miller) have officially been dropped.

MyFoxAtlanta.com reports that the charges against Slater were dropped because the statute of limitations had expired.

The charges alleged against Slater stemmed from a female security guard who claimed that she was assaulted by the WWE performer at the WrestleMania after-party in 2011.

Slater has not appeared on WWE television since an arrest warrant was issued for him back in December of 2014. He issued a statement shortly after the news of the arrest warrant surfaced, claiming that the charges and civil suit brought against him were "completely frivolous."
