Either way, considering the punishment Sean Payton got for bountygate, even though he was said to have no direct involvement, if Bill isn't suspended for the entirety of next season it is pure shenanigans. It's going to be draft picks, fines etc. It's not anything violent like Payton and The Saints were accused of. There's nothing to equate the two alleged cheating accusations. He will not be banned for a season for this. I don't get why you can even think that they are relate-able at all.
Besides what Goddell said to Payton was blown up in his face with the Ray Rice video scandal. He has no leg to stand on using that as a heavy punishment basis.
