You can feel free to scroll up and reread this page to see that story is about some all people play mk for. If they start ignoring the lore i, amd others, woukd have no reason tonplay any more. It seperstes mk from every other fighter.
Its just as valid as wanting continuity from absolutely any other medium and for the past 9 out of 9 titles midway has done just that.
