He had a rough start coming in as a reality tv guy, rather than 'paying his dues' so many dislike him no matter what, even though he has clearly paid his dues by this point in his career. I find him entertaining, but only as a heel. I like his character.
What I think may help the Miz, is if he gets a good Mgr, someone old school, not Heyman, and the Mgr would be more of a teacher of sorts. I still love the idea of Ric Flair coaching him, but not to be a face, but as the new 'dirtiest player of the game.' Have Ric and Miz come out and scout his opponents from ringside, then when Miz faces them, he can focus on 1 body part only, such as Roman's right hand, to stop him from being able to use the Superman punch. Have Miz use any foreign objects on the hand, like a hammer, the ring bell, even just stomping it, all while Ric distracts the ref. Constantly having a good game plan to counter his opponents big moves would give him credibility and help him climb as more of a thinker, since he doesn't really have the size to match up with some of the big guys.
Ok, well sorry to rant. Good thread.
