Like when Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson goes in, same thing. I'd even say they should introduce the Deadman as Mark "The Undertaker" Calloway. The only exception would be guys who's character transcended their name, IE Hulk Hogan or Sting.

I find this odd too as a few weeks back on commentary, he was referred to as "hall of famer, Scott Hal". So it seems WWE do kind of acknowledge the career but use a character or gimmick to induct them.
Perhaps because from a WWE perspective, 'Scott Hall' (and Madusa) were big outside WWE whilst they were better known by another persona in WWE and WWE/McMahon want their creative input to have top recognition in those circumstances.
Much how they created a new theme for Sting rather than use the Crow theme of old which was a million times better.
