Scalpers are a pretty good bet too if you're willing to go that route. Definitely less reliable though.
The usual obvious caveats for both apply... weekend games or good pitcher matchups tend to be pricier. Teams that travel well (BoSox, Yankees, etc) when they're in town have a bit of a markup too usually

For Stubhub is it better to buy the tickets on game day or a month before the game to get a cheaper ticket? For a shitty day game that no one is going to go to.
