furthermore, I don't believe the injuries are as a result of him being small as there have been small/smaller wrestlers who have managed to take hard knocks etc. E.g. Rey Mysterio, Eddie, Jericho, dare I mention him Benoit. etc.
It's just fate and how cruel it can be.

I wouldn't say it was down to fate as you say. I think his style has a lot to do with it. It is so hard hitting and high impact, and that sort of think takes its toll no matter who you are.
He has been quite foolish coming back the way he did and not changing his style at all, although maybe its a case of the damage being done already, it might not have made much difference.
Benoit would have arguably ended up the same way if he had lived, and some would say it was his hard hitting style that contributed to his demise.
