Regarding the 2014 movies, “Scooby Doo! WrestleMania Mystery” cost the company $1.2 million and it has already generated $2.2 million. They project another $400,000 in future revenue from the movie and they project in the end they will turn a $1.4 million profit on it. “Oculus” cost the company $3 million and they project losing $1.3 million on it. “Road to Paloma” is projected to lose $100,000. “Leprechaun” Origins” cost the company $1 million and has generated $300,000 in revenue, but they projected in the end it will turn a $100,000 profit. “See No Evil 2" cost $1.1 million and has generated $100,000 in revenue thus far, but they have not projected how much it will earn or lose yet. “Jingle All the Way 2" cost the company $1.6 million and there is no projection on how well it will do. “The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age Smackdown” cost the company $900,000 and there is no estimate on how well it will do

Aparently the WWE seriously bungled the Oculus film deal to the point that the other studios involved took almost all of the $44 million it made while covering the least in production costs.

Regarding the “Curb Stomp” finishing move used by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, it appears that it is not completely banned. The word going around within WWE is that the move is “on hold” until WWE’s concussion lawsuits are gone, or are no longer an active threat.

According to PWInsider.com, top WWE NXT star Hideo Itami is out of action with a bad shoulder injury. As of now, Itami is scheduled to compete in a triple threat match against Tyler Breeze and Finn Balor at the upcoming Takeover special, however it is expected Itami will be pulled from the match as he is likely to be out of action for 6-8 months.

Sami Zayn's RAW match with WWE United States Champion John Cena this week was laid out, with Bret Hart's involvement, for Zayn to lose but get over as a big star in front of an audience where it was considered a lock that they would react in a big way for him. This was not meant to be Zayn's full-time debut on the main roster but he was scheduled to wrestle on this week's SmackDown. Due to the injury suffered at RAW, SmackDown had to be re-written without the former NXT Champion.

Last month, we heard the unfortunate news of legendary wrestler and promoted Verne Gagne passing away at 89. He's widely considered among the most important men in the business, and responsible for the training of major names in the business as well. His funeral was held last week in Minnesota, with eulogies by his son Greg Gagne, and former employee "Mean" Gene Okerlund. Unfortunately, it seemed as if things went downhill from there. During the eulogy being delivered by Greg Gagne, the Wrestling Observer says that Backlund interrupted and started cutting a heel promo. It was said to be "ridiculously out of place."

Knowing DeMott personally, Russo strongly believed that his problems were caused by having to pamper and kowtow to his students opening up a whole can of worms where they felt free to make false complaints against their teacher, which was a perception DeMott was willing to help foster by going on a rant about today's millennial generation that Vince McMahon would be proud of: "I always use the term it's never the quarterback, it's the coach. We talk about football and a guy will stink the joint out, so it wasn't Tony Romo, it was the other guy and he was gone. Millennials, I think right that's what this generation is called the millennials. I think it's in the whole world.
