Ryder's high water mark was always going to be holding one of the secondary belts, and he did it.
Do I think they could have done more with him than they did? Absolutely. He's not bad in the ring, has a clear passion for wrestling, and seemed to get decent reactions. He probably could have been kept solidly in the midcard where he'd actually have programs/things to do instead of immediately going back to being Superstars fodder. But World Champion? No chance.
