I was never a fan of his in TNA but he was a major star there, he is well known amongst wrestling fans and surely putting him into the spotlight against an established star like Cena, Orton, Lesnar or heck even someone like Mark Henry would make sense?

Ideal situation for me would be for him to cost Cena the US title at Payback and begin a feud or make him the 6th man in the Elimination Chamber or the "7th man" and cost a major face the IC title e.g. Ziggler.

I don't see it as a demotion, he probably makes more money in WWE compared to TNA. NXT is one of the hottest brand going right now and Joe going to NXT just builds up the brand. With Joe, Uhaa, Owens, Balor, and Itami all in NXT it going to be great. Them being their helps the guys that WWE is trying to develop.

Joes does have a past with John Cena so when he does debut on the main roster him and John could tell a good story.
