Here is my take on Bret Hart...
He is a legend beyond legend. His in ring skills could mop the floor with ANYONE elses. He is a lagit tough man who knows how to wrestle in the pro and amautre ring....as well as a bar in Texas

He is a genuine nice, caring, wonderful man...who is more polite to every single fan who has ever apporached him then any other man in the history of the business. He loves (or loved) his work. Pro Wrestling was in blood and drive in life. Unfortuatly, because of Montreal, his legacy is forever tainted. Weither you think he deserved it or not, for most people (I am not saying most here or even myself) the first thing they think of when they hear Bret Hart is Montreal. Did he patch things up with Vince...on paper yes...though I would doubt it.
The problem with WCW was this...He didn't fucking belong there. He was out of place. I don't mean that it was his fault...just something about seeing the Hitman in WCW tore at the short and curlies. He had been so loyal to the WWF, and to see him in WCW was...well...sureal. Also Bret was never properly used. I mean the one thing I remember the most about his run was his fued with DDP for the US Title. Goldberg and Hogan were too busy hoging the spolight to let this guy do his thing. Not that he needed the World Title to get over...it just...well when you see Hitman doing Grade ! main events and then thrown into Midcard area...it's rough. Anyway that is my look on it.
