Paul Heyman is set to return to WWE TV soon, last seen alongside Brock Lesnar who was feuding with the then polarizing Roman Reigns. Heyman spoke about the unique response Reigns experienced, and said steps could have been taken to prevent that. He appeared on Chael Sonnen's to elaborate.

"I think what happened to Roman is that he's the right guy in the right place at the wrong time," explained Heyman. "Roman came in and had all this momentum behind him. Had they not announced Daniel Bryan's return at the Royal Rumble and put it in people's heads that Daniel Bryan would make this miraculous comeback two years in a row, then I think Roman Reigns would have been the person everyone would look to win the Royal Rumble."

Heyman went on to say that Bryan is an automatic underdog, and that portrayed Reigns as the next John Cena, that fans perceive as being pushed down their throats. This is the reason Reigns got the mixed reactions, according to Heyman.

"The most hardcore and die hard of the audience will be so loud that everyone else will be like 'what are you talking about?' and it becomes a conversation piece. 'They're going to put this guy in the main event of WrestleMania when this guy is available? Screw that.' Putting Daniel Bryan in the Royal Rumble when the focus should have been on Roman Reigns, it took fandom away from Roman and he became the guy standing in Daniel Bryan's way. I don't think Roman's missing anything. He went from a time when he was the hero to a guy that everyone resented," Heyman said.

Peter Sterne at Capital New York reports that the popular website Gawker could be undone by none other than former wrestler Hulk Hogan, who is suing the company for $100 million for publishing portions of a 2006 sex tape featuring Hogan having sex with Heather Clem, wife of a shock jock named Bubba the Love Sponge Clem. The case goes to trial in a Florida court on July 6, and things could get existential for Gawker, according to Sterne:

A loss, and an award of even a fraction of the $100 million Hogan’s attorneys are seeking, could empty the company’s coffers, forcing [Gawker Media CEO Nick] Denton to either sell the company outright or to hand much of its equity over to deep-pocketed investors."

The idea is to fill the shows up with talent who can carry the less experienced guys and use Evolve type of guys to fill out the house shows and deliver quality matches in 2016 when in theory, all of the key NXT guys should be stars on the main roster.

TNA announced the following today, confirming that the Kurt Angle vs. Ethan Carter III TNA Title match will take place on the July 1st edition of Impact, and not on the June 28th Slammiversary PPV as many thought. The title match will actually be taped prior to the PPV, as TNA runs on a delay on June 24th and then tapes on June 25th, 26th, and 27th for six weeks of post Slammiversary TV
Going to spoil the results of Slammiversary but not the first time they've done stuff like this in the past. The most recent being when they had the not-so bright idea of taping a bunch of One Day Only specials without realizing how badly it ended up spoiling and conflicting with weeks worth of Impact shows and events.
