Part that stuck out to me, besides the obvious (honestly, don't care about the dance emotes, but the concept is a shitty precident to set) is the trying to spin the "I was there when..." nonsense, when there really isn't some token form of nostalgia.
I mean, i can see if PvP maps went away, or certain exotics stopped dropping after so long, but I still have access to the same shit people got at launch, and I just got it after Christmas. Especially the "Swordbearer" example... Bungie initially made it sound like their removal was accidental and unintentional, and that the Wolf events "won't replace those"... then, their "fix" was to just mention swordbearers still appear in one scripted campaign mission and proceeded to say the wolves are indeed replacing the swords.
It may end up this will (eventually) be much ado about nothing, as, after all the PR spin, vague announcements, silence on questions that let speculation run wild, backpedaling, and possibly even straight up misinformation, this stuff will be worked out and the people who already own shit won't feel slighted by the company trying to attract new players by adding shiny bells and whistles and telling current players they're just SOL.
Granted, getting bent up over extra dances sounds trivial, but the idea of adding content that won't be available to people who already bought the thing unless is a little unnerving. It's up there with Jim Sterling's rant about the exclusive Amiibo content for Splatoon- content unavailable by any other means than to track down a physical toy that Nintindo themselves made rarer than pure precious stones.
