Owens can act all smug like he did in NXT by claiming Cena didn't earn the right for a rematch which leads to Cena "proving" he does by continuing his Challenge series.
Ceasaro takes over for the short term feud against Owens while Cena-Owens IV match gets spaced out a bit more.

That's pretty good. As much as I love Cesaro, for whatever reason, I'm not that interested in Owens vs. Cesaro at this point. It just seems like to much of an...offshoot of Cena vs. Owens. I don't know how to explain it really. Also, I think I'd want to see Cesaro win the US Title too much, and Owens will likely be winning that match.
The idea of Cena keeping the challenge going without the US Title is a mint idea though. Cena could even lose every now and then, and wouldn't actually lose anything.
Owens could beat Cena and then make him jump through hoops to get the SummerSlam rematch. Maybe a stipulation that if Cena loses, he'll never get a US Title shot again? I dunno. Something like that sounds like a selling ticket to the average fan. Cena wins that match and then you have Owens putting the same stip on a Night of Champions rematch. Owens wins that and then you have them fight over the US Title inside Hell in a Cell.
That bridges the feud out for a long time though. The spacing idea might be better.
