Bungie: "Let's make a boss that burns the floor for 15 seconds of unavoidable chip damage!"
:everyone starts running Warlocks with Angel:
Bungie: "Oh, well *that* wasn't supposed to happen!"
What did you *think* would happen? Was everyone supposed to huddle together with their thumbs up their asses? That's child game 101; if the floor is lava, you don't touch the floor!
Also, killing bosses, as Kalyx put it "as fast as possible" is how you counteract a time sink. Not everyone has an hour to spend throwing puny bullets at a guy who almost instantly re-shields. Blow that motherfucker up in ten minutes!
But seriously, I still feel there should be balance in PvP in other ways besides buffing/nerfing weapon classes.
For example, a person using the Titan was mostly going through with Fist of Havoc until the Saint-14 came on the scene. Then, that gave a reason to actually USE a bubble vs other players, as overzealous shotgunners would charge to their blind dooms while shooting where the target
used to be. However, there is still the fact that nobody can shoot through the dome, out or in, and also a well placed grenade can get a multikill off of those who had a false sense of security and low/empty shields and/or crap armor. It has pros and cons. You have to think about what you're doing if you use or attack against it. THAT'S what there needs to be more of.
