There are actually more 4-decade players than I realized, although they're understandably becoming rarer and rarer. Beltre is definitely the 90's best (and possibly only realistic) hope to add another one to the list.

@ the 5 decade players. Shame that probably won't ever happen again since 40-man roster spots aren't likely to be used on publicity stunts at this point. Otherwise, Julio Franco almost definitely would have gotten that honor. He still plays in Japan at 56 years old.
