Halo 5's campaign was teased to be roughly twice as long as it was in Halo 4 according to an accidental leak by Microsoft.

Quote:
A Microsoft representative at Gamescom let slip that Halo 5: Guardians campaign is allegedly twice as long as its predecessor.

The claim comes from a report by GamesRadar, who—after having played through a demo at the show—was relayed the information by an unnamed source. This is attributed, in part, to the the campaign spanning three different worlds: one Human, one Forerunner, and one Covenant.

If the report is true, Halo 5 will be a sizable experience. Users of game length tracking site How Long to Beat currently report an average completion time of around 8 hours, which could put 343′s latest in the 15- to 20-hour range, certainly on the upper end of what first-person shooters traditionally offer.
