Ripken has no business managing. What credentials other than playing career would he bring?

I think Bud Black is going to get the nod. No reason other than he's considered a "good baseball man", and is much more player friendly than hard ass Williams.

I'm going the Padres hire someone who understands and embraces analytics. Which means no thanks to arm assassin Dusty Baker or Ron Washington.
