For those that had loot issues with the special Iron Banner event last week, Bungie announced a "nasty bug" was the reason why payouts for the event were low or messed up.

Quote:
Last week, Destiny players everywhere were frustrated that the Iron Banner PVP event, a game mode they put hours of work into, yielded really poor loot despite Bungie's claims that it would be worth playing. Well, according to the developer, the loot issues were due to a "nasty bug" that affects both Crucible and Iron Banner drops. Uh, that's strange, because Crucible yielded better results than Iron Banner last week.

So once again, we can chalk up another failed public event to Bungie's lengthy list, even a year after the game has been out. As one astute user pointed out on reddit, "if this bug resulted in giving players better loot, it would have been fixed within a matter of hours."
