Reigns gets booed at tapings, so WWE would like to get fans behind him by having corporate figures screw Reigns over and keep him from winning the title, which would mirror what WWE did with Daniel Bryan a few years ago.
Reigns is viewed in some fans’ eyes as the ‘corporate’ champion already due to being pegged as the next ‘face’ of the company. WWE is hoping fans will be more accepting of Reigns in this role, which they’ve tried to do on TV already, without getting such a negative reaction.

Ended up using Bryan's cash-in at TLC 2011 as the basis for Sheamus' cash-in and possible future plans for Reigns.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reported on Wednesday that all plans for WrestleMania 32 were scrapped by the WWE creative team on Sunday. He says the company had a list of tentative matches for the big event, and they all fell apart for one reason or another. In other words, reports circulating the web on potential matches are just guesses at this point.
“Anyone reporting on a ‘Mania card now is guessing,” Meltzer said on F4WOnline.com. “They had a complete top six matches and everything fell apart. Everything changed again on Sunday.”
We previously reported that John Cena and The Undertaker were being booked in a match for ‘Mania. As far as The Rock goes, right now it’s considered highly unlikely that he will even appear at the show, let alone wrestle at it. WWE is trying to stack WrestleMania 32 with star power to sell out the 100,000+ seat AT&A Stadium.

JR's thoughts on Survivor Series and WWE in general:
- Sheamus is cold, and taking the title off him quickly will mean nothing. Reigns should be kept away from him til WM, and Sheamus needs to go on a tear from now til Mania to have a hope of being a hot heel.
- Doesn't like Reigns' super manpunch/spear combo, they're too similar in set-up, and Reigns hitting the punch then waiting for them to get back up to hit the spear looks foolish. Meltzer suggested he needs a submission finisher with the spear.
- Reigns should have (and Meltzer agreed) turned heel the day after WM 31 and become bitter at everyone.
- Feels Reigns is becoming predictable/repetitive in his late matches with the same set-ups, dangerous for a guy that young to stagnate.
- Titus O Neil has real charisma and needs a bigger role, despite his limitation in the ring. Meltzer suggested he needs a small and very skilled tag partner to complete him instead of Darren Young, similar to Gable and Jordan who have what the other lacks.
- Luke Harper is really underrated.
- Divas butterfly belt needs to go immediately.
- Criticized the commentary but not the commentators, who are just doing what they're told. Meltzer lamented that they do not change intensity as the match ramps up, they have the same tone throughout.
- If Bryan can no longer wrestle, he should be retained as a trainer and producer. Meltzer said Bryan is one of WWE's best for PR situations because he's genuine and not phony.

Guess they figured we weren't interested in what he has to say, which I guess is accurate, given the rating the show got. Not only have they not learned from the last two people they've done the cash in-Authority puppet trope with (Orton, Rollins), but they seem to be doubling down. Interesting."
