I wanted to give an extended reply to that because there's this thing online where people wanna draw a line in the sane for things like this without really knowing who they're talking to. And far too often are dismissal tactics tossed in ("He thinks those X-Men movies were great? Pfft, he probably likes The Room then, his thoughts don't matter").

I'm not dissing you for liking the films, I'm just saying don't call them great when they're not. You can like something while still admitting it's not great or even good for that matter. For example I like a lot of the generic pop music that plays on the radio today. Doesn't mean that I can't say it's still garbage music. I also sometimes like to have McDonald's, but I'd never say that McDonald's food was actually good. I just happen to like some shitty things sometimes.
