Obviously old age is a bitch and shit happens like this to many people. I however believe that Bret Hart's mind has become so bitter that it has rotted his body. He seems to carry around so much anger and negativity in EVERY appearance that he does. He holds onto every bad thing that ever happened to him it seems. Bret talks more shit about the workers in the business than anyone I've seen. There truly isn't a bigger mark for themselves that The Hitman. I think that ever since Montreal his life took a drastic turn for the worse.
I believe that cancer can manifest itself physically through emotional duress and negativity. I think that is why Bret has found himself in this position. Hopefully he does kick out and submit cancer. If he does, I also hope he can find the light and let go of the past, otherwise he will just continue to rot away.
