If I didn't know how clueless games media adversely affected content I suppose I'd think the same.
It's too much to explain now but make no mistake the casual-fication, feature lite, marketing over substance trend of modern gaming is direct correlation with letting hacks, pretenders, and cons get by unchallenged.
Very few of the games today would be praised by 90s/2000s games media. Today's media has content access, they're in the ear of publishers, who then give orders to studios. So when AssCreed Unity comes out more broken than AssCreed 2, games media speaks more about a playable women and a transgender NPC than the fact. Until the issue is unavoidable (reader complaints).
You can ignore it and play your games. I will play my games and call it out. I do both just fine.
